Interiors
"Only content separates landscapes from interiors. The principles of color value and complements remain the same. For example, I was struck by the yellow light that transformed my studio into a magical room in the early afternoon. In HWA the young woman who posed for me fell asleep as she was surrounded by the warm yellow light.

In Station there are complementary features such as dark and light, warm and cool, textured and smooth, mystery and clarity. A cool relaxed person sits next to a tight introspective person, one person blowing out smoke another inhaling a cigarette, a woman putting on lipstick wearing a flowered dress. Close by is a young girl holding a bouquet of fresh flowers. Within the painting one sees examples of night and day." --- Billy Morrow Jackson
