Project 1: Temple in the woods

Description:
A representation of Man's original temple in the woods, located in a clearing in a forest of trees set on a 10' grid.

Requirements: A tower, a pool, and a gate.

My concept: Eclipse. The sun is represented by the tower; the moon by the pool. Gravitational attraction is represented by the dialogue between the architectural elements. Windows in the sun tower, all different sizes and angles, produce varying patterns of light throughout the day. At night, the pool reflects the moon and sun tower. As the moon travels the sky, it is eclipsed by the tower. The architectural elements are placed according to the paths of the sun and the moon, and form an infinity sign. The illustration above shows the view of the tower from the pool.
